Selma Vilhunen (b.1976) is a director and a screenwriter of both fiction and documentary films. She has graduated from the Turku Polytechnic / Arts Academy in film directing. Her works as a director include Pietà (TV film) and Pony Girls (follow-up documentary), which won the main prize in Tampere Film Festival. She has also written a feature film Homesick (with director Petri Kotwica) and tv film Suburbian virgin (dir. Hanna Maylett). She lives in Helsinki with her husband and daughter.
